Day 32 Exodus 7-9

What struck me about today’s reading was the role of Aaron… Moses clearly didn’t think he had what it took to do the job God set before him, so God provided Moses’ brother to help.  As the plagues start coming it’s Aaron who is holding the staff, given to Moses, to do God’s miracles, but as the plagues continue Moses begins to be the staff holder, stepping into the role God knew he was born to do.

Lord when I lack the confidence to move in the direction you’ve asked me to, provide for me an Aaron, to get the ball rolling till I feel ready to step up.  I can relate to Moses and his feelings of doubt and inadequacy.  But you knew he was your man for the job, imperfections and all.
